1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SocialsLink ("the Service"), operated by 1232216 B.C. Ltd., 101-1388 Continental St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 0C9, Canada ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 1232216 B.C. Ltd.
2. Use of Service
SocialsLink provides a link-in-bio tool for sharing your social media and content links. You are solely responsible for all content you create, upload, or share through your page, including but not limited to display names, bios, avatars, and links.
Email capture. If you turn on Email Capture, visitors can give your page their email address, and we store it on your behalf. You are responsible for the addresses you collect: use them only for what your form says, include your name, a mailing address and a working unsubscribe link in every email you send, honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, and delete an address when its owner asks.
3. Acceptable Use
You may not use SocialsLink to:
- Share malicious, phishing, or malware links
- Promote adult, NSFW, or illegal content
- Post content containing profanity, hate speech, harassment, or threats
- Distribute spam, misleading content, or unsolicited promotions
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Aim your page at children under 13, or turn on Email Capture or tips on a page meant for children
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Circumvent our domain validation or content moderation systems
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
To reduce risk, links on free pages are limited to pre-approved platforms, and Pro pages may also link other secure (https) websites that pass our automated screening (no short links, IP addresses, look-alike brand domains or known adult sites). That limits where a link can go; it does not guarantee that every page or file on an allowed site is safe. If a Pro plan ends, links that needed Pro are hidden from visitors until it is renewed.
4. Content Moderation
SocialsLink employs automated content filters and domain validation as best-effort measures to maintain a safe platform. However, we do not guarantee that these systems will detect all prohibited content. We do not pre-screen, endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any user-generated content. The presence of content on the platform does not imply our approval of that content.
Reporting content. Anyone can report a page, with or without an account, at socialslink.com/report or by emailing hello@socialslink.com. We review reports within 2 business days. While we review a report we may hide content we reasonably believe is defamatory, harassing, or impersonating someone.
Intimate images shared without consent. If a page shares an intimate image of you without your consent, report it at socialslink.com/report and choose “Intimate image shared without consent”. We remove the image, and any identical copies we find, within 48 hours of a valid request. We comply with orders of the British Columbia Civil Resolution Tribunal under the Intimate Images Protection Act.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account. You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service. If you are under 19 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may use SocialsLink only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and only a parent or guardian may buy Pro for you. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
6. Payment & Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars, plus any applicable tax. Annual checkout is not currently offered.
Automatic renewal and cancellation. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel the renewal at any time, whether before or after a renewal date, without any cancellation charge or other penalty. Cancel online in Settings → Billing, or email hello@socialslink.com. Cancelling stops all future charges, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. After you subscribe we email you a copy of these subscription terms.
Refunds. Past charges are not refunded except as set out in these Terms or where the law requires it. If something went wrong, contact hello@socialslink.com and we will review it.
EU and UK consumers. You have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days. Because Pro takes effect immediately, by subscribing you ask us to begin supplying it at once and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it is fully performed; until then you may withdraw and we will refund the unused portion. This is in addition to the cancellation right above, not instead of it.
7. Tips & Creator Payouts
If you enable the tip jar, visitors can send you money through your page. Payments are processed by Stripe, and to receive them you must connect a Stripe account and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. We never hold your money: tips settle into your own Stripe account on Stripe’s payout schedule.
Our fee. We take a platform fee of 5% of each tip on the Free plan and 0% on Pro. Stripe’s own processing fees are charged separately by Stripe and are not ours. We will give 30 days notice before changing the platform fee.
Refunds and chargebacks. A tipper may dispute or reverse a payment after you have already been paid out. Where that happens, the disputed amount, any dispute fee charged by Stripe, and any platform fee already collected are your responsibility, and you authorise us and Stripe to recover them from your Stripe balance, from future tips, or by invoice if your balance is insufficient. We are not able to absorb reversed payments on your behalf.
Taxes. Tips are income to you. You are responsible for reporting them and for any tax owing on them. We do not withhold tax and do not provide tax advice.
What you may not accept tips for. Tips may not be solicited for anything prohibited by Section 3, and may not be used for adult content, gambling, the sale of regulated goods, donations you describe as charitable unless you are entitled to solicit them, or anything on Stripe’s restricted businesses list. We may pause the tip jar, withhold a payout, or disconnect your Stripe account where we reasonably believe a payment is fraudulent, disputed, or in breach of these Terms or Stripe’s rules.
Tips are voluntary payments from one person to another. They are not a purchase, and unless you say otherwise a tipper receives nothing in return for one. If you offer something in exchange for a tip, that is between you and the tipper, and it is your responsibility to deliver it.
8. Referral Program
You may invite others using the referral link shown on your page and in your dashboard. Referral rewards are paused: signing up or referring someone does not currently earn Pro credit. If we restart rewards, we will describe them here first, and they will apply only to referrals made after that.
Referral credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for money, and may not be combined with certain promotional offers. Credits are applied to Pro access only.
We do not award credit for self-referrals. Referrals are automatically rejected where the referrer and the referred account are the same account, or where both accounts signed up from the same IP address. We may withhold, revoke, or reverse credits, and may suspend participation in the program, where we reasonably believe referrals are fraudulent, automated, or otherwise abusive.
Pro users may turn the socialslink.com footer link on or off at any time in Settings. Turning it off does not affect credits already earned. We may modify or discontinue the referral program at any time; credits already applied to your account will be honoured.
9. Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your content. By using SocialsLink, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, host, and distribute your profile information and links as necessary to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your content does not infringe on any third party's rights.
10. Copyright & DMCA
We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent law elsewhere.
Designated agent. Send notices to the Copyright Agent, 1232216 B.C. Ltd., 101-1388 Continental St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 0C9, Canada, or by email to hello@socialslink.com with “DMCA” in the subject.
What a notice must contain. To be effective under § 512(c)(3), a notice must include: (1) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them; (2) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail to let us locate it, such as the full socialslink.com URL; (4) your contact details; (5) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on their behalf. An incomplete notice may not be actionable, and we may come back to you for the missing parts.
What we do. On a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material expeditiously, and take reasonable steps to notify the person who posted it.
Counter-notice. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address under § 512(g)(3). It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and telephone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal court for the district of your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any district in which we may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice. If we receive a valid counter-notice we will forward it to the complainant, and unless they tell us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain you, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.
Repeat infringers. We have adopted, and will reasonably implement, a policy of terminating in appropriate circumstances the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We track valid notices against each account, and an account that is the subject of repeated valid notices will be terminated.
Misrepresentation. Under § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages including costs and legal fees. Please be sure before sending either kind of notice.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice, including but not limited to sharing prohibited content, posting offensive material, or attempting to bypass safety measures. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded or limited by contract, including British Columbia’s Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, or the laws of the country where you live.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1232216 B.C. Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) any content posted by you or any third party on the Service; (c) unauthorized access to your account; or (d) any other matter relating to the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or CA$100.
This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, and does not affect the consumer rights described in Section 12.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 1232216 B.C. Ltd. (operating as SocialsLink), its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, and employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service may be brought in the courts of British Columbia, or in the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal for claims within its jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in any court or tribunal where the law of the place you live gives you that right. Nothing in these Terms requires you to arbitrate a dispute or prevents you from starting or joining a class proceeding.
16. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SocialsLink regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
17. Changes
For a Pro subscription, we may change only these parts of these Terms: the monthly price in Section 6, the Pro feature list on our Pricing page, the tip platform fee in Section 7, and the acceptable-use and moderation rules in Sections 3 and 4. We will change cancellation, return, exchange or refund terms only in ways that do not increase your obligations or reduce ours. We will email you 30 days before any such change takes effect, with the new wording, a plain explanation, and how to cancel. If a change increases what you pay or reduces what you get, you may cancel at any time without charge, and if you are charged a higher price you did not agree to, you may cancel within 14 days of that charge and we will refund the unused part of that period.
For everyone else, we may update these Terms from time to time and will say so on this page and, for material changes, through the Service or by email where possible. The updated Terms apply to use of the Service after they are posted.
